White tiger
#Task Given by Dr. Dilip Barad Sir,
White Tiger
How far do you agree with the India represented in the novel The White Tiger?
As fictions are on some level not all true because there are imaginations lies, but given text can considered faithful because of end of story that it seems realistic. India as nation have many various parts and no one can describe it as whole so which given here is the one side or one perspective of Arvind Adiga's that represent here through this story. This story contains very contemporary issues and this goes very well there are some people like them also all people are not good enough in whole country there are some are like them which represented very well here.
Do you believe that Balram's story is the archetype of all stories of 'rags to riches'?
This story is deconstructs the idea of ideal hero at some point. Because our hero of story is not ideal he murdered someone and dishonest also but when we look at dark side of India we can find that it is true also that all people are not perfect and why the heroes are always perfect they are human being and can also make mistake then why they are not portrays as wrong that can be wrong but here in White Tiger reality shown.
"Language bears within itself the necessity of its own critique, deconstructive criticism aims to show that any text inevitably undermines its own claims to have a determinate meaning, and licences the reader to produce his own meanings out of it by an activity of semantic 'freeplay' (Derrida, 1978, in Lodge, 1988, p. 108). Is it possible to do deconstructive reading of The White Tiger? How?
Yes, it is possible when we look at the story as poetic justice then it seems incomplete because of it's end but at the same time it seems realistic also. if we deconstructs the idea and give end with justice then realism of life can destroys so it seems incomplete but is real.
